ABOUT DR. FRANK

I am a psychologist devoting my time to collaborating with folks who have decided to take a serious approach to understanding their life for what it really is and in identifying areas that have made them feel stuck. Over the years, I’ve helped many people modify problematic behaviors by addressing their fears and limiting beliefs that have been preventing them from moving forward and attaining their professional and personal goals.

My training in clinical psychology has refined my ability to conceptualize difficult situations and understand the nuances and subtleties of my client’s life. As a theorist my academic training has perfected my ability to think clearly, concisely, critically, and logically.

Combining both clinical and theoretical approaches to zeroing-in on key and critical issues allows me to suggest targeted approaches to help you resolve problems, to stop feeling dependent on others and once and for all, gain control of your life.

I hold a PhD in Theoretical Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Throughout my doctoral studies, I focused on schizophrenia and related disorders with a sub-specialization in anxiety and depression. I completed my doctoral research at the Clinical Research Center for the Study of Schizophrenia at Zucker Hillside Hospital in Glen Oaks, NY.

I have held the position of Assistant Clinical Director and Director of Clinical Training and Development at a major substance abuse facility in Florida as well as that of a therapist for the Florida prison system.

Currently, I am on faculty in the position of Senior Lecturer, in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, at a University in NY, where I teach Graduate Psychology courses.

In my position of Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Innovation at Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, California, I investigate the application of theoretical psychological models as they apply to the concept of self-esteem in individuals with schizophrenia.
